Earlier in the evening, BP Markowitz joined the Brooklyn Jewish Historical Initiative and the Brooklyn Historical Society to launch the first website dedicated to the history of Jewish Brooklynites (www.brooklynjewish.org). With 83 percent of precincts reporting, Barton had won 63 percent of the vote. Barton will face off against a Democratic challenger on November 6.
