Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has kicked off diaspora voter registration in Canada and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions in the two countries. IEBC Chairman Wafula Cahebukati says the listing exercise in the two countries will go on for 15 days beginning February 1st.

In its current state, these are the dire consequences that will result for Armenia: Armenias economic collapse as the Turkish economy will stifle and swallow up Armenia, replacing its manufacturing and agriculture industries with its own; planned, sponsored and systematic relocation of Turks and Azerbaijanis into Armenia, buying properties, participating in elections and claiming villages; relinquishing Armenian rights to Hai Tahd and reparations from the Genocide, the Armenian ancestral homeland and weakening the Armenian struggle for liberation; strangling Armenia with a corridor connecting Turkey to Azerbaijan, cutting off Armenias trade route to the south and overtaking its major internal transportation routes; and much more. The Lenape culture, which flourished in the mid-1500s in areas that became New York and various other mid-Atlantic coastal states following European colonisation, has a complex and often misunderstood history. The original stewards of Manhattan, the Lenape are said to have sold the resource-rich island to Dutch colonists in 1626, and over the next three centuries were the victims of genocide and forced relocation, with the largest population of Lenape-associated tribes now inhabiting Oklahoma. The cultural traditions of Lenape communities have been disquietingly understudied but are highlighted in a small exhibition titled Lenapehoking at the Brooklyn Public Library branch in Greenpoint (until 30 April) that is billed as the first-ever Lenape-curated exhibition in New York.
