My parents put me and my wife Rebecca in charge of planning the seder, and we decided that, on the first night, after the opening rituals of karpas (dipping vegetables) and yachatz (breaking the middle matzah), we would set aside the Haggadah for a while and let my father simply tell the Exodus story to my nephews, 7 and 3 at the time, who were the only children present. No one was better suited to fill this role.

Joint List party leader Aymen Odeh on Monday doubled down on his call to Arab Israelis not to serve in the security forces operating in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, now also calling on Jewish Israelis to refuse to do so. Odeh caused outrage on Sunday when he said Arab Israelis serving in the security forces in the West Bank and East Jerusalem were humiliating their own people and called on them to throw down their weapons and quit.

In March, Noah Jacob took his team on his dream trip to New York: A five-day tour of New Yorks iconic Jewish delis, bakeries, and restaurants. In a letter to Jewish House Democrats, Amnesty International USA Executive Director Paul OBrien apologized for representing the views of the Jewish people, responding to the members unanimous condemnation of his recent remarks that his gut tells him American Jews want a safe Jewish space rather than a Jewish state. All 25 Jewish House Democrats came together earlier this month in a rare joint statement condemning OBriens comments at a Womans National Democratic Club event as patronizing, alarming, deeply offensive and antisemitic. In his response letter, dated March 25 and obtained by Jewish Insider on Thursday, OBrien wrote, I regret representing the views of the Jewish people.
