Clashes Erupt During West Bank Prisoner Protest An Israeli court refused an appeal for Samer Issawi #39;s immediate release from prison, his lawyer Jawad Boulos told reporters on Tuesday (February 19) outside the courtroom. "The decision is to reject the appeal of the defence to release Samer immediately and to keep him behind bars until the last verdict which will be given maybe in two weeks time," Boulos said. As the lawyer was addressing journalists outside the courtroom, the prisoner #39;s mother, Im Samer fainted and fell to the ground, later to be helped up by security staff as she sobbed and cried.
