The FBI says it's on alert for threats to Jewish places of worship nationwide, as millions of Jewish Long Islanders prepare for Passover on Monday. Susan Andrea Loether, a Hebrew teacher who tutored hundreds of Pittsburgh-area teens for their bnei mitzvah during a 40-year career, passed away March 21 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
