Emanuel Synagogue To Host Comedy Show

WEST HARTFORD Two top comedians are set to appear at Emanuel Synagogue for "Enter Laughing, a Night of Comedy," on Jan. 17.

Marion Grodin and Danny Cohen are scheduled to perform at the event, which will include a martini bar and specialty desserts.

"As one of the country's top emcees, Marion's incredible ability to improvise has allowed her to master the art of talking with the audience," according to a news release. "Always willing to be as self-revealing as she is probing of the audiencethis affectionately edgy style has become Marion's trademark. The result is a hilariously personal show that takes the audience feel like it was custom-made just for them."

Cohen, who is based in New York, is co-creator and co-host of Spin Cycle Comedy, a "weekly comedy/variety show held in a laundromat," according to a news release. Cohen has also appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, and was first runner-up in "America's Wackiest Comedian."

Ticket prices are from $36 to $90 and may be purchased at Emanuel Synagogue or online at http://www.emanuelsynagogue.org.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and showtime is 8:30 p.m.
