Judeo-Spanish singer to perform in el paso

Judeo-Spanish singer Sarah Aroeste will perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Congregation B'nai Zion, 805 Cherry Hill. Her style combines traditional Mediterranean Sephardic sounds with contemporary influences such as rock, funk, pop and blues. Donations will be accepted. Information: 833-2222.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL PLANS White Christmas event

St. Pius X Catholic School will have a White Christmas event from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5-6 at the school, 1007 Geronimo. It will be lit with more than 1,000 strings of lights and luminarias, have an ornament sale and Polar Express coffee shop, and a live nativity scene. Snow shows at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Admission: $2 for adults, $1 for students, 3 and under free. Information: 772-6598.

Las cruces Church plans Holiday sale

St. Genevieve's Church will have its Holiday Antique and Collectible Show and Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the parish hall, 1025 E. Las Cruces Ave., in Las Cruces. It will feature 40 dealers. Admission: $2.

Nativity exhibit IS PLANNED Dec. 5-6

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will have a Nativity exhibit and musical celebration from 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5 and 1 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6 at 7315 Bishop Flores. The Nativity exhibit will contain an estimated 500 nativity displays from all around the world. Admission is free. Information: 584-4292.

Church OF St. CLEMENT Advent lessons, carols

The Church of St. Clement, 810 N. Campbell, will have Advent lessons and carols at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 7. The adult choir, lay readers and clergy will lead the historic service of the foretelling of the coming of Christ. Rick Garven is the organist-choirmaster and Lysa Farah is head Lay reader.
